Three years ago, on my 27th birthday, I recieved the best gift ever when my little girl Annabelle was born! When I realized we both had a big milestone birthday this year I knew it had to be special..so we decided to throw a 3 & 30 party to celebrate with our family and friends.
Annabelle and I have a lot in common beside our birthdate - we are like two peas in a pod!
We're both girly girls, sweet and a little sassy at time. I couldn't think of a more perfect theme than Sugar and Spice! Her favorite color is pink, and mine is aqua which made for the perfect sweet color palette. My favorite meal is brunch, and we both love sweets! Everything just came together
with a sweet soft fabric banner, beautiful flowers, ruffles and lace, flower embellished straws, and a sugar & spice menu with a little touch of vintage charm.
I love sharing my birthday with my daughter! For our invitation photo we did a photoshoot together with her holding a chalkboard with a three and me holding a zero.
A table serving our Sugar & Spice menu welcomed guests to help themselves to brunch!
With sugar treats including mini pancake stacks, cinnamon bun pops, and donut hole pops, fruit kabobs and more! The spice menu inlcuded jalapeno bagels (my favorite!), spicy sausage mini quiches, and peppercorn bacon to name a few.
I really wanted to have pancakes at the brunch, but worried about making them all the day of. I found these mini hot cakes sold premade, all I had to do was pop them in the oven! I created little 3&30 flags with chevron & trellis patterns to top them.
For their pancakes guest could choose from Maple or Berry Syrup served in glass bottles.
Instead of a cake we served Powdered Sugar Donuts, keeping with the brunch theme.
I created the pink paper rosettes using pink crepe paper and purchased rhinestone beads from my local craft store for the center. I adore the results! So simple and inexpensive.
Baking the bacon on skewers in the oven insures perfectly done bacon with no greasy mess!
Cinnamon Roll Pops are a sweet brunch themed treat and a favorite with the little guests.
My brunch twist on cake pops - donut hole pops!
We served Strawberry Yogurt Parfaits with "sugar, spice & everything nice" Stamped Wooden Spoons from Pink Lemonade Party shop on Etsy.
Dried Mangos, Raspberry Coconut Marshmallows and Cinnamon & Sugar Cereal in glass jars were pretty and delicous.
A seperate table was setup to serve beverages including, Coffee, Orange Juice, and Sparkling Pink Lemonade.
You just can't have brunch without coffee! Since it was a beautiful 80+ degree day here in the Pacific Northwest I decided to serve Iced Coffee in decaf and regular.
Sparkling Pink Lemonade served with a flower embellished striped straw. I created the flowers using Martha Stewarts "Hydrangea" paper punch.
Sweet paper doileys wrapped these cute drink jars. I often get asked where I purchased these bottles, so I will let you in on my little secret: These jars are from Starbuck's Frappucinos drinks! I love Frappucinos so no extra purchase was necessary for these cute bottles! A great idea since small "milk bottles" in shops can cost a few dollars each.
Annabelle and her little guests sat at their own little table to enjoy brunch.
I purchased my dress on etsy from River of Romansk
Well, its official! Annabelle is now three and I've left my twenties in the dust!
We had a wonderful time celebrating our big day with lots of yummy food and all of our friends and family. We hope you enjoyed viewing our party as much as we enjoyed having it!
Colors and text customized to fit your event.
