Paper Lanterns pictured purchased from Luna Bazaar.
I got the idea for this sweet and simple book garland from Martha Stewart Living's May edition which just happened to feature a Story Book Baby shower!
Pink card stock cut and folded made the book covers, while white paper with text created the book insides and stars. Simply hole punch string together with ribbon and you have an inexpensive and simple garland.
Chocolate cupcakes with whipped strawberry icing were topped with classic fairy tale phrases "Once Upon a Time" and "They lived Happily Ever After". Perfect sentiment for new the little family.
To keep with the theme each food dish was given a nursery rhyme or fairy tale name - Little Jack Horner Hummus, Fairy Tale Fruit Salad, Little Miss Muppet Muffins, Humpty Dumpty Quiche, Mary Quite Contrary Garden Salad and so on.
These adorable vintage paper striped straws from Etsy's Isa Kay Boutique were perfect for our Fairy Tale Collection Party Flags reading "Once Upon a Time".
Bookmark favors customized with the mommy-to-be's name and shower date were the perfect thank you and keepsakes for guests!
Hope this sweet & simple baby shower gives you inspiration for your own party!
The Fairy Tale Printables to create this whimsical baby shower are available in our etsy shop.
What a great theme idea!

Speaking as a guest from this event, I loved how all the decor came together, the theme was perfect for the crowd. The bookmarks were a nice take home treat for all of the guests. And the food as always, YUM!
