]]>With that thought in mind, I started planning this Sweet Dreams Birthday, hoping at some point the dreamy atmosphere and serene color scheme would help send the girls into a deep sleep. I’m excited to share all the dreamy details with you!
Clouds, moons and stars, oh my! I started designing graphics with the night sky in mind and used a beautiful color palette of pinks and purples. I coordinated everything from the invitations to the dessert table backdrop and all the graphics to bring the theme together.
The birthday girl wore her beautiful Tutu du Monde dress that we had previously purchased and we found a beautiful star headband to go with her theme.
The dessert table was decorated with an iridescent sequin tablecloth and balloon garland. I selected balloons in sunset hues and shades of white to echo clouds at sunset.
Strawberry cake and lemon cupcakes were the birthday girl’s choice of desserts. Our printable toppers kept all the desserts coordinated with our theme.
The picture perfect (and fake!) ombre cake and ice cream cone cake topper and macarons from Confection Deception coordinated with our dessert table perfectly.
Drinks included Izze bottles with printable drink wraps and star party straws.
A custom blend of sprinkles added a fun touch to the desserts.
Our balloon garland was created with a combination of a latex balloon mix and a metallic balloon bouquet.
Chocolate candies from Party City in apothecary jars were adorned with printable customizable labels.
The best thing about the Sweet Dreams backdrop is that it can double as room decoration after the party’s over. Ours is now hanging in Annabelle’s bedroom over her bed.
A printable cloud sign and iridescent tassel garland decorated the birthday girl’s seat.
I paired star straws, plates, napkins and favor bags from Martha Stewart’s new Cotton Candy collection with iridescent party plates and cups by Talking Tables. We layered the iridescent round plates over the star plates and set each place with the favor bag filled with goodies. Cloud shaped “Sweet Dreams” tags top each favor bag.
What better party favors for a slumber party than sleep masks? And they don’t get much cuter than these unicorn sleep masks! Our favor bags were also filled with star and moon metallic tattoos, star glow sticks and candies.
Overall the party was a dream (and the girls actually went to bed at a reasonable hour!). This was such a fun theme and color scheme to design around, and the girls loved it all!

]]>While I love the theme, I don’t love the traditional dinosaur party colors of greens and browns—so I decided to make our 3-Rex party bright and playful, just like my little guy. I started with the Printable 3-Rex Backdrop, lots of balloons, and even got crazy with some spray paint on letter balloons. Charlie loved watching it all come together for “my party!”
Want to create this same balloon garland? You will need this garland kit, the 5″ balloons, the 12″ balloons, the twist balloons.
Carnivore, Herbivores and SWEETIVORES were all welcome to our party with a full dessert table setup.
The star of the show ended up being this adorable cake from Confection Deception. She custom created this little guy to match our invitation and printable decorations and I’m in love! The frosting scales, those tiny T-Rex arms, that tail! The cuteness doesn’t stop.
She captured my illustration perfectly right down to his little party hat!
What little boy party would be complete without something slightly funny and icky at the same time! These chocolate donut holes became “Dino droppings” and were a hit with the kids.
Assorted M&Ms on clearance after Halloween matched our color scheme perfectly while yogurt pretzels became “Dinosaur Bones”—another kid favorite.
Store bought cupcakes quickly became “Stegosaurus Cakes” with the help of our party printables, candy corn and bright cupcake wrappers!
Homemade dinosaur cookies were a breeze with a T-Rex cookie cutter, green icing and sprinkles!
I set the kids table with these perfect bright dinosaur plates from Day Dream Society. I love that they offered them in a fun color palette instead of traditional dinosaur colors.
Each little guest had a Printable Dinosaur Party Hat waiting for them at their place setting.
Little guests were each sent home with a favor bag full of treats, including Dinosaur Suckers, bright toy dinosaurs, these cute dino tattoos, dinosaur eggs (easter egg filled with dino treats), Dino Cars! and even some play-doh to make dino prints with.
For our final favor, I couldn’t resist having a little fun with these twist pops with a spin off of our popular Unicorn Party Favors. Instead of a Unicorn with a candy horn we have a Printable Triceratops with candy horn!
I had so much fun with this theme, hope you guys enjoy it too! Get our full collection of party printables here! Don’t forget the coordinating Invitations.

]]>I’ve been wanting to host a gingerbread house decorating party, but the idea of baking and cleaning up during this already busy season honestly stopped me. So when I discovered these PREASSEMBLED Gingerbread houses for sale, I was all over it! LADIES, this is a game changer!! Ready to decorate Gingerbread Houses sounded like the perfect thing for a pretty and EASY girls night! Shimmery whites and pretty pastels create the perfect palette for this beautiful get together.
With the Preassembled Gingerbread House Kits it was easy to dive right into decorating! No baking, piecing the gingerbread together or waiting hours for the icing to dry—just straight to the fun part! I set each guests kit out over an irridescent sequin table cloth. The table was set with place cards, blush water goblets and assorted milk glass dishes filled with decorating materials and treats.
Apothecary jars filled with various candies to decorate the houses doubled as beautiful eye-candy. Vanilla wafers and creme wafer cookies serve as pretty (and tasty) decorating materials perfect for gingerbread house pathways, windows, doors and roofs. A stunning ombre cake by Confection Deception served as our tables centerpiece.
Inexpensive pastel bottle brush trees scattered throughout added to the festive tablescape.
Pink Jelly Bellies, shimmer M&Ms, non pariels, pastel Sixlets and assorted sprinkles were just some of the decorating options provided for guests.
Sweet Tooth Fairy Sprinkle sets were some of the most popular sprinkles— with Christmas lights to tiny candy canes, they made perfect accents!
Extra icing bags were on hand to make sure no one ran out!
After the fully decorated houses dried, we added ribbon using hot-glue around the cardboard to finish the look. And here’s my finished Gingerbread House. The party was fun & easy, and would work well as either a mommy-and-me event or ladies- night-in for just the adults (the kids shouldn’t get to have all the holiday fun!) I have to say all the Gingerbread Houses turned out so beautifully and there was a ton of left over candy for everyone to enjoy. Everyone had such a fun time relaxing, gabbing and decorating their houses and each went home with a beautiful decoration for their holidays. Honestly, this party was such a joy I’m already planning another one! Happy Holidays!
